Inspiration from a distance

Sitting down aside, a distance not very far from where a teacher and two students were; Aunty never stop listening to what aunty Grace was saying and it went on " I don't want to see your case as a written-off thing, but rather believe that there is hope, yeah hope for you". "You see" she continued " having looked at your result in junior grade,it seems as if to say that the last positions in the class are left for you, I know that your parents did pass through school as you are doing because they used their result to get job from which they earn the money they using to pay your bills. Therefore, for you to change, I advice that you be sincere to yourself, and start working on that, with God everything will be normal. Again, know what works for you, not about people now, but about you. Don't do anything because others are doing it. There are students who need only to be a class and they will make good grades, but this doesn't actually work for everyone. Some other person needs to stay in the class, study at home, do extra lessons to be able to get such good grades." Aunty, was impressed with what she was hearing because, the countenance of the two students had changed from bold, to cold, to repentant one. Indeed, somehow change is taking place, and their lives is the pathway of change. Friends, sometimes we need to talk to someone, to that person that is derailing from the right path of life. For How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? Then He (Jesus) said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”(Matthew 9:37-38) Be the preacher, in your own ability, work in Gods vine yard and win souls for him. God loves us all

Get Prepared and Follow Christ

Repentance is being delayed by people, for some reasons best known to them. When a preacher is done preaching, lives will be touched while some people give their life to Christ instantly others choose to prepare for it; saying yes I will repent but not now, may be next week, month, or season; After I must have reached that level in life; When I grow old I will follow Christ. Right now let me just do the right thing; which is living their life as they wish. Whatever it is they are just not ready at the moment to follow Christ.

This case of getting prepared to follow God is evidently seen in Elisha. So Elisha went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was ploughing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him. Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elijah. “ let me kiss my father and mother good-bye”, he said “ then I will come with you”

“Go back” Elisha replied “what have I done to you? So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the ploughing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his attendant (1 Kings 19:21). Also in the time of Jesus, a lot of people came to Jesus to follow Him while some gave reasons  why they will not follow him immediately others without looking  back followed him till the end.

My dear friends make yourself available for God today, believe in him and also believe in him who sent him now for the hour the bible says no one knows only but the father. 

You Need the Holy Spirit

 The importance of the Holy Spirit in our lives cannot be over emphasized because the work of the Holy Spirit is numerous in the life of a believer. When our Lord Jesus Christ was about to leave to his father’s house in heaven, He told the apostles that He will send them an advocate, who will teach them all thing. He specifically ordered them to be in Jerusalem and wait for the gift His father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized, with water but in few days, you will be baptized with Holy Spirit. The apostles never leave the upper room. They kept on waiting for the promised spirit that is to come. Finally, the spirit came and the bible says that “when the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the spirit enables them” (Act 2: 1-4)

It’s then the spirit came down and the apostles were all filled with the Holy Spirit, with power that makes ordinary things to become extra-ordinary. From then forth even peter who denied Jesus in the presence of a maid have to be bold and bold enough to speak to the crowd that gathered around the upper room in amazement. Because you know, each one of them heard them speaking in his own language. And signs, wonders and miracles began to follow them from there forth. As Christians you equally need the Holy Spirit to teach you all things and give you the boldness you need to live your life. Without this spirit remember all flesh dies and human is nothing, nothing at all. If you are in need of the Holy Spirit, ask the Lord to send His to you and believe he will do it.  

What Desperation Can Do To You

I have heard statements like desperate men, desperate women, desperate people and all that. In one way or the other I have found people desperate of one thing or the other; it then tells me that this desperate thing is not limited to any age or set of people. Desperation in all perception is not really healthy. It can led to deception as much as dishonesty. The things that makes people desperate varies from property like house, car, or may be money, to things that are more abstract like fame and power. It makes people lose sight of their essence. Things desperation can do are listed below:

Manipulation: Because something is needed badly in some instance to the point of making one put up do or die attitude. The person can start manipulating others to get what he wants.

Deception: deception is mostly exhibited by those that are so desperate of something or the other. And at the same time those that are desperate are easily deceived because they can believe anything. Things that their normal sense can’t accept, you find them accepting such. It’s so terrible, they actually become something else.

Turns One into Fake: Have you ever heard of fake personality or identity. Desperate people change themselves into what the situation demands of them,  to get what they want. Check out such attitude around you.

Dishonesty: dishonest people are mostly desperate people. Telling lies everywhere they go to get what they want. Can bridge any contract to make money and such like.

So today, chose to be yourself, stop been desperate. God knows you need: a house, a wife, a husband, a car, a job, all that need. Believe in God for everything. Never achieve anything great without God. He is your shepherd .  Just hold unto God, He will see you through and provide all your needs according to His riches in glory at the appropriate time. Refuse to die before your breakthrough. So be courageous, live out your life to the fullest.

Try and Make Heaven

Many a times Christians find themselves worried about heaven and whether they are going to make it. It seriously borders one, because life after death is often discussed by many in the quest to know how, when, where is going to be. You see after the death and resurrection of Christ, Christians now believe in resurrection. That after everything here, man will die, face judgment and finally move to where he will spend the eternity: heaven or hell. Heaven is real. The bible says that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the only way to heaven. Believing in Christ is the first step to heaven. Jesus also said Himself that; believe in me and believe also in Him that sent me. He that believes in Him who sent me is saved.

But what shall it profit a man to gain the whole earth and loss his soul. His own very soul that never die. There is no story that said that someone dies and was buried with his properties. Even if there is, it will but encourage stealing.  No, it’s just that person alone. In the bible is the story of the rich man who said to himself my soul rejoice, for you have all things unto yourself. The bible said that God called him a foolish man and went ahead to say that today I will take your soul. Being rich or poor on earth is also not a grantee that you will be rich in heaven. It is a different ball game altogether. The parable of Rich man and Lazarus is a good cite. Lazarus who while still on earth was so poor that he can’t afford his daily meals, that he begs for food that falls from the rich man’s table. The rich man living in affluence and wealth. reluctantly refused him food: some will say common food . At the end what happened?  The poor Lazarus made heaven and the rich man was unable to make heaven not because he was rich but because he was unable to use his wealth to do good; to make heaven. So it is expected that you use every gift God have blessed you with to do good. Don’t be stingy to the point of holding back the gift of God; be it wealth or talent; use it for humanity and change your world.

Never allow yourself to be carried away by the fantasies of this present age. Believe that you are a candidate for heaven. Obey the commandments of God. Allow the Holy Spirit to take hold of you and walk with you. Live as if to say that your only audience is heaven. Shalom!

4 Signs of a Dishonest Person 
Meeting someone who is honest this days seems a little difficult. People are moving on fast lane and most people believe in the school thought that says is I, Me and Myself first - like being self-fish. But in all these, what the world need is people that cares. Yes people that cares about there neighbors and the world we live in. Simplicity is a virtue. But not every one can simply be honest. Here is a list of qualities of a dishonest person:
A. Manipulation: 
When you have this feelings of manipulation then you are being manipulated. Be on the check for it might be true.Who ever that manipulates you is not in any way being honest with you.
B Beggar:
When you are the one giving out all the time, and the other person always begging and doesn't contribute at all: not in money, service or advice. You need to think twice about it. Naturally, we expect because we think that we can get, mostly when people presents themselves to be something. When they continuously fall short of our expectations all the time we begin to ask question about the true identity of that person. I am not saying, that, all our expectation should should be reached, but some should be attended to dears- is very important.
C. The Person is Fake:
There is a lot of things about that person that is fake. He is not his real self. If that person is showing up different personality at
different time, that person might be fake.
D. And lastly that person lacks integrity: truly integrity is no where to be founded in that persons life.

Three things that will Help You to Become a Bold Person

A lot of time we talk of being bold: be bold to speak; be  bold to act and all that, but then sometimes lack that boldness we yearn for. But then there things that will help one to be very bold. They are:

1. Putting up a Good Attitude:

You know what they say that attitude is everything. That your attitude determines your altitude. Putting up attitude of boldness helps you to conquer fear, unnecessary anxiety and depression. Try to look at things from  different perspective not on a singular perspective.Try seeing a brighter future in every situation. Believe in good way of life and live it out. Live in the present. This will help you regain your stand and boldness will come.

2. Be Holy:

Holiness is a way of life. Being holy encompasses keeping the commandments of God, and living the life that you are called to live no matter the season. This is important because you are found blameless, and can stand to talk without the fear of external accusation. And.And those that look upon the Lord shall be transform from one glory to another glory until they become like Him.

3. Be Truthful to Yourself:

You must know the truth and truth shall set your free. Being truthful to oneself make one to recognize who you are. Sense of self awareness liberates one from a lot of bondage. Jesus leaves in you and you in Him. He is the way, the truth and the life. And He that leaves in you is greater than he who leaves in the world.

It is the devils tactics to make you believe that ugly situations around you is chosen by default and there is nothing you do about it.This attitude which is contrary to what the bible says that He has plans for you, which is filled with hope, when you call me I will answer you and change your condition.  You need to trust God for more dears.Here are seven tips that will help you to trust God:

Personal Knowledge of your Relationship with God:

Abraham trusted God to provide him with every promise He made to Him . He knew that His God is Almighty God (El 'shaddai) and He is the God that provides (Yahweh Jireh). God finally blessed Him and gave an expected end. If you stay with Him, God Himself will nurture you and never put down. Know the level of relationship that is existing between God and you. It will really provide with the knowledge of  your worth and the kind of God you are serving.

Stay Attached and Connected:

Abraham knew Gods  promises and he didn't leave God for anything less. During the days of Abraham there were idols everywhere but he strongly attached himself to God that most people then knew not. He stayed attached and connected despite all odds. The Psalmist(Ps 23: 1-5) prayed "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me: your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows".

Almighty God is More than Enough:

Always remember that the enemy is very clever,  with his deception and limited stories of lack. At a time in the wilderness the Israelite doubted their survival but what they don't know is that Egypt couldn't and will never be enough for them. Our God is the God of more than enough. In mark 8 Jesus feed four thousand 

men and still have more than enough left overs. He said, that, He has come to give us life, life in abundance. Is He who can give life not give you anything you ask for?

Don't settle for less because you have failed in the past: 

Most times, our sins and weakness make us think that we can never please God or become better in life.

Let me take you, to the story of Luke 15:14-18, the story of the prodigal son. This story should be a point of reference, for you whenever you find yourself in such an ugly situation. It will help you get back to track and start living. Change is the only constant dears, and He died for us. He became poor for us to be rich and was made a sin for us to be holy.

Never be ashamed to ask God for more:

The bible talked about the servant, who had less than other servants in Matthew 25:28-29, but even the little had was taken from him. He is your father and always willing to help and keep you. Ask whatever thing you wish He will do it for you if it be his will. 

Never Allow life Experience Determine Your Faith in God:

If you had been going through tough time now. Remember that it is not the end of the world, thing will turn around someday. At the end of the tunnel there will be light. You need to live in the presence not in the past. Our God is capable of changing every situation.

Experience God in Your Spirituality:

His grace is more than enough for you and cut off from Him you can do nothing.Without Him we can do nothing, nothing at all but thanks be to Our Lord Jesus for we are in the dispensation of grace and His grace is sufficient for us.  When you have personal encounter with God you will know Him better and can be able to define your relation with Him. Just like in the case of Saul who later changed his name to Paul(Apostle) after conversion. He experienced God himself, to him resurrection of Jesus is no longer story but life experience. Experience is always the best teacher.

You Are Not An Afterthought

Man was created in God’s image and likeness. The bible says that you are wonderfully and carefully made, which tells you that mans creation was not an emergency or “ just do it”  kind of thing but one which was thoughtfully made. Another basic truth is that you are a man and the spirit of God dwells in you. Simply believe that because it is true. In Jeremiah 1:5 the bible says “before I formed thee  in the belly I knew thee; and before thou comest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations “ and somewhere in Luke He said “But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows”. This is Jesus trying to let you know who you are. The problem we always have is our ability to know who we are. What we meant in his eyes and what He takes us for. Jesus loves you and He cares about you. He is also prepared to see you through in all your endeavors. So, dear change the way you see and think about yourself. Even when you were in sin, He still chose to die for you, yes very you. Why must you be an afterthought if you are then He couldn't had shed the blood of His only begotten son just to redeem you. But He called you according to a specific purpose – His purpose and He justifies you; “ for by grace have you been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them” Eph 2: 8-10

Therefore friend, if you are going through difficult situation now that makes you feel that God does not care about you. Please, He does care for you He loves you with His mind, heart, been and kingdom; With his everything - because you are a hair in His kingdom, because you are redeemed by the blood of His son, because He thinks of you every time. Definitely, Almighty loves you beyond your imagination. Don’t think of yourself as a worthless and nobody but as a  loved child of God, Yes, kings kid.

Things might not be working well but all is leading to happy ending. Be confident in the Lord, be bold and courageous for all is well and you are loved by Most High.   Shalom !

The First Word Of Jesus On The Cross

Father forgive them for they no not what they are doing (Luke 23 vs 34)

Forgiveness is kin to christian life. A forgiving fellow always remember that man is not a perfect being and this makes him to forgive others. While some can easily forgive their fellow human being others find it so difficult to forgive even themselves from one mistake or the other- remember you can't really give out what you don't have. 

Jesus in the suffering that was imposed on him by the same people He performed  miracles in their midst, must be embittered but He still asked His Father in heaven to forgive them. He wished that all those offences of theirs should never be counted for them. But then is so baffling that He understands the Jewish people. He understands the whole event as caused by expensive act of ignorance. He understands that these men don't even know what they are doing: that they have crucified their savour; that through His death the gospel and reign of Jesus which they are trying so hard to suppress will reach the ends of the earth; that man will be saved from eternal damnation; that all His bruises are for healing; that He will bring them and the next generation life; that He is the Messiah they have been waiting for; that He is the resurrection and life. Yes they don't know,  they don't really know.

Today, this very first word of Jesus is teaching us to forgive our neighbor whatever wrong they have done to us  because sometimes they don't really know what they are doing. And again let us learn to forgive ourselves from every mistake.
